Festive tradition at Carols Round the Tree

GET into the festive spirit with the annual Carols Round the Tree in Lyme Regis.

The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Lyme Regis, will take place on Wednesday 23 December at 7pm around the town’s Christmas tree in Broad Street.

As usual, the music will come from Lyme Regis Town Band.

This event is the highlight of the Rotary Christmas Appeal, which this year will be for Julia’s House, the Dorset children’s hospice.

“It’s a really enjoyable evening,” said Rotarian Guy Hayden, who is organising this year’s event.

“The town band always put on a great show, and many of their members travel quite some distance to be with us for this event, for which we are always very grateful.

“We also receive the tremendous support of the Pilot Boat Inn, The Royal Lion and other businesses, some of which stay open on that evening and add to the community spirit.

“Join us and enjoy great camaraderie on this, the 56th annual carols in front of the beautiful Christmas tree in Broad Street. What a great way to start the Christmas season!”
