Given the popularity of the town with tourists all-year-round, you may be surprised to learn how little staying here can cost. With easy access to the sea, a charming town centre and tranquil rolling countryside nearby, you could be forgiven for thinking that bedroom tariffs would typically be high. This is not the case, however, with prices kept low at even the most attractive and sought-after locations.

Touring & Camping ParkThe Shrubbery Caravan & Camping Park is situated within the designated area of the World Heritage Coastline. Right on the Devon and Dorset border it is just 3 miles from picturesque Lyme Regis with its sandy beach, harbour and famous cob.

The level 10-acre site is enclosed by mature trees with distant views to the surrounding countryside, providing a quiet and relaxing environment in which to enjoy this beautiful tranquil setting by the sea. Generous pitches means there is plenty of space to park next to your van or tent.

The Park is owned and run by Margaret and John Godfrey and has been in the family since 1966. They are assisted by a friendly team of staff who will assure you a warm welcome and will do their best to help make your stay enjoyable. They are proud that many of their customers have been returning to the Shrubbery year after year.

All the pitches are well drained with water and disposal points nearby, and all van pitches have electric hook-up points. There are some sturdy wooden picnic tables in the tent camping area and dotted around the Park for your convenience. The large centrally located washroom includes toilets, washbasins, showers, disabled facilities and dishwashing sinks (free hot water to all basins and showers). In addition, there are toilets and showers situated at the top and bottom end of the Park and laundrette and ironing facilities. All facilities are regularly checked, serviced and cleaned to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.

Children will enjoy the large play area with various swings, slide, climbing equipment and crazy golf.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a lead and there is an extensive dog exercise area away from the main Park.

Due to our proximity to Lyme Regis, the park makes an ideal base for fossil hunters and boating enthusiasts. Boat owners can securely park their boat and trailer close to their pitch and launch from the slipway at Lyme Regis within minutes.

A short drive away is the secluded Undercliffs National Nature Reserve ? this area was the scene of a massive landslip on Christmas Day in 1839 when a vast area of the cliff slid towards the sea forming a deep chasm which has now become a unique woodland nature reserve popular with naturalists and walkers.
