Music
There are several opportunities to catch live music around Lyme.
The Marine Theatre plays host to a wide range of musicians, including classical, rock and tribute bands. The Parish Church of St Michael The Archangel holds regular classical music concerts. Several pubs and restaurants around town also hold regular live music events.
In addition, the Lyme Regis Jazz Festival takes place every July, offering a wide selection of traditional Jazz at venues through the town. The Lyme Regis Town Band plays on the Marine Parade Shelters every Tuesday evening from July to September.
There are several opportunities for young people in Lyme Regis to make music, including the B Sharp project, and the Woodroffe School, which has its yearly cabaret and concerts, musicals, and a Jazz Band.
