DEEP TIME: the Jurassic Journey Exhibition
4th May - 7th May
Ben Osborne's Jurassic Journey project is an exciting fusion of photography, digital imagery, music, poetry and sculpture made from flotsam and jetsam. Since 2009, this award-winning photographer (Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2007) has been recording a visual and audio diary of his experiences as he travels the Jurassic Coast.
With support from The Heritage Lottery this exhibition brings together Ben Osborne's photographic exploration of ‘deep time’; of the extraordinary geology underpinning the Jurassic Coast’s landscape, how nature has invaded it, and the human story of the ways we have moulded and used the coast. Ben's journey was not a solitary one - he travelled with three other artistic companions, poet Matt Harvey, musician Sammy Hurden and sculptor Lal Hitchcock. Deep Time presents new perspectives and a new vision of the World Heritage Coastline.
From 11.00 am - 4.30 pm
Ben presents 'Jurassic Journey' at the Marine Theatre, Lyme Regis on Friday, 11th May.
