Exciting new venue for the Lyme Regis Art Group Exhibition
Last night saw the opening of the Lyme Regis Art Group Annual Exhibition with a preview evening and awards ceremony with prizewinners being chosen by Robert Julier.
The Town Mill Malthouse Gallery is a new venue for the group and provided an stunning setting for the wide range of pictures by local artists. The exhibition is open until Monday.
This exhibition is always something to look forward to and this year's is no exception. There are over 200 entries from more than fifty local artists and the standard this year is better than ever. The pictures and sculptures on view covering a wide range of subjects there is something for everyone. The wide range of mediums used includes acrylic, oil, water colour, and mixed media as well as drawings and sculptures which amply demonstrate the skills of the artists.
All the exhibits are framed and for sale with prices starting from a very modest £40.00. For anyone visiting Lyme Regis this weekend an hour or spent enjoying this exhibition is a must. It only runs until 30th April and is open from 10am to 5pm, admission is free.
