I'm Jurassic Airlines - fly me!

Lyme Regis International Airport opened for business on Friday 4 May with flights by Jurassic Airlines through time to Pangea.

Jurassic Airlines passengers waiting to depart | Photo: Peter WilesThe flight took them along the Jurassic Coast and back in time to the era of dinosaurs and pterodactyls, all of which could be glimpsed through the cabin windows.

The Onboard project is one of the flagships of the Earth Festival 2012 and is a top attractions at the Lyme Regis Fossil Festival. Jurassic Airlines will be operating flights daily from Marine Parade until 10 May and then moving to Weymouth to be part of the Olympic cultural events from 26 July til 9th September.

Tickets for flights are reported to be selling rapidly, so, in case of delays, would-be passengers are advised to consider booking a Lyme Regis B&B or other consider some of the other excellent Lyme Regis accommodation options.
