Jubilee Competition Results
Lyme Regis artist Christine Allison has announced the winners of her competition to guess the 60 events depicted in her Jubilee picture, 'Sixty Years'.
The picture was displayed in the recent exhibition at the Town Mill Galleries which was organised by ArtsFest and the Town Mill Arts Guild. It created much interest and conjecture amongst the general public. There were 22 entrants, but Jack and Imogen Thomas of Uplyme were the outright winners with 59 correct answers. "It was such fun," said Jack. "We really enjoyed the challenge but did have to do quite a bit of research before handing in our entry form."
"I was after 60 correct answers," said Christine. "But 59 was the highest score, so I was happy to give Jack and Imogen £59 in prize money. Well done to them both!"
The competition was sponsored by Harry May Boat Trips, and the actual picture was bought by a visitor to the exhibition from Birmingham.
