Life-sized pliosaur model comes to Lyme Regis
Coming to the town as part of the Jurassic Coast Earth Festival 2012, residents and visitors to Lyme Regis will be able to enjoy a visit from the fantastic Travelling Pliosaur Cinema this May.
Being set up at the Cobb Gate car park and operating between the 4th and 6th of the month, this unique attraction will give anyone interested in the area’s rich geological heritage the chance to learn more about the incredible Pliosaur sea lizard – a remarkable fossilised skull of which was found nearby in 2009.
Kids and parents will have the opportunity to move the mechanised model’s head, eyes and flippers, before climbing inside and viewing a specially commissioned animated film devised by the Forkbeard Fantasy production company about underwater life in the Jurassic period.
If you are looking for a fun-filled family holiday, then book a stay at one of the great Lyme Regis hotels offering quality accommodation at reasonable prices.
