New Director appointed to Lyme Regis museum
David Tucker has been appointed the brand new director of Lyme Regis Museum.
Mr Tucker has been linked to the museum in his previous role of museum advisor for Dorset County Council and will start the new role in May.
Currently Kate Hebditch will continue as acting curator until the new director takes his place at the helm.
Both visitors to Lyme Regis and locals will benefit from this first class museum professional taking charge of the popular attraction.
Award winning Lyme Regis museum has a number of high quality displays that feature collections and displays on local history. Writers and artists who have been inspired by the local beauty such as Jane Austen and Beatrix Potter are featured.
David’s appointment marks the start of large plans to extend the museum for future generations to enjoy the wonderful history of the area.
