Olympic Torch to pass through Lyme Regis
Lyme Regis is getting ready for the once in a lifetime experience of having the London 2012 Olympic torch passing though the town.
Mayor Sally Holman and local schools are said to be busy planning special events to celebrate this special event are said to be underway.
If you are staying in Lyme Regis accommodation around July 12th, make sure to keep your eye out in the news for the route and time of the event to be announced as it is currently being kept under wraps.
The last time the Olympic torch was anywhere near Lyme Regis, was back in 1948 when the games were last held in London, but the torch only came as close as Honiton.
No doubt when the time comes visitors and locals will both get to share this fantastic experience which will no doubt help to shine a light on the picturesque coastal town.
