Rebranding planned for Lyme Regis
A major rebranding of the town of Lyme Regis is in the pipeline, with local traders preparing to submit their ideas shortly.
The initiative is being launched by the recently reformed Lyme Regis Traders’ Organisation, which announced at the recent Tourism and Advertising Sub-Committee meeting that a deadline of April 30th has been set for people to propose plans.
With issues like signage and brochures at the forefront of the project, local business Creative Solutions is expected to play a big part in the rebranding process, with sub-committee member and hoteliers representative Wayne Bradbury stating that this is what holds the most potential for bringing more visitors to the area.
Bradbury explained that this was because attitudes had changed during the recession, meaning that an increased number of holidaymakers are now arriving in Lyme Regis without booking accommodation.
It is hoped that this rebranding will lead to even more couples and families choosing to stay at a Lyme Regis B&B or other accommodation in the seaside town for their holiday.
