Town Mill looks for volunteers
The historic Town Mill in Lyme Regis has launched an appeal for volunteers to help improve the experience of those looking to enjoy the picturesque attraction.
Dating back to the 14th century, the watermill allows people to see for themselves the traditional processes of using local organic wheat to produce stone-ground flour.
Mags Osborn, who is responsible for this latest initiative, explained that additional staff members are needed to lend a hand working in the mill itself, as well as maintaining the attractive garden and courtyard areas and manning the on-site gift shop.
Osborn spoke of the friendly atmosphere which exists amongst the volunteers at Town Mill already, and talked about the excitement that getting involved in such a special heritage project brings.
This truly unique attraction has enjoyed great popularity with visitors over the years it has been open to the public, and it is hoped that this appeal for assistance will ensure its future is safeguarded.
