Details

Following from the outstanding Tempest of Lyme this summer, the 2017 Marine Theatre Community Production will be 'Monmouth', a specially commissioned play re-telling the events of the Monmouth Rebellion of 1685, which began here on Monmouth Beach (and, for some of the local rebels, also gruesomely ended there). It is written by Andrew Rattenbury and directed by Clemmie Reynolds: the team that – with a little help from W. Shakespeare – brought us The Tempest of Lyme.

Performances (times to be confirmed) will be on:
Friday 14th July
Saturday 15th July
Sunday 16th July
Friday 21st July
Saturday 22nd July
Sunday 23rd July
Friday 28th July
Saturday 29th July
Sunday 30th July

Several interesting events, related to this story, have been arranged for the winter and spring period beforehand (See our 'Monmouth Talks' section in the Marine Theatre's Spring Brochure for more details).

If you'd like to be involved in the production casting dates will be taking place on Thursday 26th January and Thursday 2nd February 2017. Please email Becky at officeassistant@marinetheatre.com to find out more and register your interest.
