Details

Back on the road again and this time celebrating the 50th anniversary of Tom Stoppard's seminal work, Bournemouth-based Arena Theatre presents Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. Absurd and existential, funny and plain weird, the play expands upon the exploits of the titular two minor characters from Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
The action takes place mainly ‘in the wings’ of the Bard’s greatest work, with brief appearances of major characters from Hamlet who enact fragments of the original’s scenes. Directed by Grae Westgate with permission from Samuel French.
