The Bothy and The Bower are beautifully converted farm buildings set in the acre grounds of Hill Barn amid rolling countryside a mile from the centre of Lyme Regis. Positioned at the end of the East Devon Way and a short walk from the South West Coast Path and Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. The very high standard of accommodation is reflected in our outstanding guest comments.
The Bothy is arranged on 2 floors with living accommodation upstairs whilst The Bower is on one level, making it ideal for those who have difficulty with stairs. Both cottages have central heating, character log fires, free WiFi and parking. During off-peak periods, The Bothy is available at a discounted price for a couple sharing one of the two available bedrooms.

THE BOTHY is a beautifully converted former granary, sleeping 4 people (+ cot), with wonderful views across the fields and valleys towards the sea. Accommodation is arranged with two en-suite bedrooms downstairs, and upstairs living accommodation to take advantage of the views. It consists of:
• entrance lobby with washing machine, iron and ironing board
• double bedroom, with 5' bed and en-suite shower room
• twin bedroom with en-suite shower room
• fully-fitted kitchen with electric oven and induction hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave, and a dining area with stable door overlooking the former farm buildings.
• double-aspect comfortable lounge with digital television, DVD player and log burning feature fireplace. French doors overlook the fields to the south, towards the sea, and a stable door to the north opens on external stairs to the terrace with its table, chairs and parasol.
• small garden and patio area, with furniture, to the front of the property

THE BOWER is a single-storey cottage, sleeping 2 people with its own enclosed garden and patio with views across the valley. Accommodation, which is all on one level, consists of:
• double bedroom looking over your private garden (Double or twin beds are available – please specify your preference at the time of booking)
• shower room with toilet and washbasin
• fully-fitted kitchen with electric oven and induction hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine
• comfortable lounge/dining room with digital television, DVD player and woodburner
• secluded garden and patio area, with furniture, to the rear of the property

By road from Lyme Regis:
Leave Lyme via Pound Street, signposted Sidmouth and Seaton (A3052). About 200 yards after the Devon sign, at Ware Cross, turn right into Gore Lane, towards Uplyme. Look ahead and to the left for the row of trees that mark our drive and after about 300 yards you will see our drive on the left; look for the white signs. Hill Barn is the third and last house at the end of the gravel drive.

By road from the A35:
Leave the A35 at The Hunters' Lodge crossroads towards Lyme Regis, Follow the B3165 through Yawl, and enter Uplyme from the north. In the village, pass the Village Hall on your right, and look for the Talbot Arms pub on your left, after about 50 yards. Turn right up Gore Lane, opposite the pub, and follow it out of the village for 7/10 of a mile. At the top of the hill, after 50 yards you will see our drive on the right; look for the white signs. Hill Barn is the third and last house at the end of the gravel drive.

By public transport:
Axminster rail station is 6 miles away, with a regular service from London Waterloo on the South West Trains Exeter line. From the station, the hourly X31 bus service (First Group) serves Uplyme and connects with the trains – ask to alight at the Talbot Arms, which is located at the bottom of Gore Lane. Hill Barn is about 15 minutes walk (uphill!) from here. Alternatively, there is a Taxi rank at the station.

The Jurassic Coaster X53 bus service runs regularly from Exeter to Weymouth, and stops about 5 minutes level walk from us – ask to alight at Ware Cross.
